Hi everyone,
My name is Satu. I’m a 9 year old Collie Whippet cross. I’m British; a Londoner adopted from Battersea dog’s home. My pack thinks I have the brains of the Whippet and looks of the Collie. Not sure if this is good or bad. My primary interests are football and food – sometimes just food – sometimes more football. We all moved to San Francisco from Scotland last October. I share lodgings with a 17 year old cat called Lotte. She’s ok; sometimes I steal her food. In the last couple of weeks meals have vastly improved. My humans, a veterinary pathologist and a cancer cell biologist have allowed me roast chicken. I suspect this is because of my leg, but not sure. The other Sunday one of the pack felt my leg and was not happy. I could tell as she disappeared to the bathroom for a while. I got sent to my vet the next day and things got even weirder – I could tell as more roast chicken arrived! Something about osteosarcoma. Then I had pictures of my chest and people saying there were no mets in them. This seemed to make everyone happier. Then I went to a different place and had an ultrasound. This was pretty easy and everyone seemed pleased and said something about the outside of my bone not being fractured. I think the pack are going to do something about it; I’ll let you know.
